On September 9th,
2002 floods devastated the south of France, and the Cezanne
premises with all the manufacturing equipment was completely destroyed.
As early as December 2002, the city of Nîmes, in partnership with
Cezanne, launched the construction of a new building of 2800 m²,
on the Georges
Besse
scientific parc. Cezanne entered the
new building on July 28th, 2003.
On
September 11th,
2003, the building was officially opened during a ceremony
gathering the local authorities of the city, regional and county
concils as well as the Nobel Prize winner Jean-Marie Lehn, B.R.A.H.M.S
partners and numerous customers.
